Ducati Dry Clutches are aggressive and the loss of drive happens quickly, you can get caught away from repair. This loss of drive can happen quickly so we recommend that at the first signs of slippage (especially with Slipper Clutches), you replace the steels and friction plates. This is the same for both road and racing applications, even if no Slipper is used. CUSTOMER TESTERMONIAL: We have just measured the Mr Clutch Sintered plates – zero wear on the steels. Friction plates measured 2.45mm compared to 2.50mm for the new ones. Not bad considering we have done about 200 Drag Race Runs on those plates. Normal procedure is to do a fifth or sixth gear burnout (put it in 5th gear and let it go with a fist full of revs) then leave the start line at 5000rpm.
